Bubbly Bridesmaid Gifts :: Robes

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

The only thing better about treating your girls to a spa day before your wedding, would be spending the day being pampered in an over-sized fluffy personalized robe.  Your girls can use these robes after and will love the personalization!  Don’t forget to specialize a robe for the mother of the bride and mother of the groom to wear proudly while celebrating that morning.

Along the same lines of robes, these bath towel dresses are also a fun way to thank your girlfriends for their support over the years.

**I am always thinking about ways to create great photography opportunities, and this is one of them!  Have your photographer meet you and your bridesmaids at the spa the morning of the wedding as you get your hair and nails done in your personalized robes!

Personalized Cake Centerpieces

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

A unique way to decorate the tables at your wedding reception along with serving delicious cakes to your guests is creating small  individual cakes for each table.   Find fun cake stands to add height to the cake, while decorating with a different style for each cake with a similar color scheme!  Use these as centerpieces and double them as table numbers like the picture on the bottom from Cakes to Celebrate!

One of my favorite ideas if you choose to use these as centerpieces is to choose 5 different cake flavors and spread out the different cakes and flavors around the room.  When it is dessert time your guests will be encouraged to walk around the room and find their favorite flavor while chatting with your friends and family at each table, getting to know each other better!

Adding different heights to the cakes will make the centerpiece more interesting.  Also by doubling these as your cake, centerpieces and table numbers you will end up saving money by not having separate items for each.  In addition, you will save money on cake cutting fees from venues!

Marriage At Sea

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

If you aren’t having any luck finding the venue of your dreams on land, why not look outward to the wide open sea!  Carnival Cruise offers wedding packages for couples who choose to get married while on board!

Your guests will only have the cruise expense, and once they arrive on the ship they have all of their food and lodging paid for!  Make sure you give everyone enough notice so they can schedule this time away from work. Also, be considerate of your guests’ time and schedule your wedding for a 3-day cruise, than you still have the extra week to spend with just you and your hubby!

Take advantage of when the boat ports on the different islands to take your photographer and get unforgettable pictures on the beaches!  I would suggest considering a Trash the Dress session on one of the islands. The beach and the ocean will ensure beautiful pictures!

Vows :: Writing Your Own

Monday, June 8th, 2009

There is no right or wrong when it comes to speaking from your heart during your vows.  Writing your own vows allows you and your groom to truly speak the words and feelings towards each other that are YOURS!  I encourage you to think outside the box and create a ceremony that reflects uniquely you!

Here is an example of vows that are uniquely theirs:

You make me laugh, You teach me to love
You let me sing my own song

Groom:

I promise to encourage your compassion and individuality
I promise you  my life as a loving and faithful husband
I promise to lead our lives in faith and hope in Chris
t

Bride:

We will share laughter, tears, hopes and dreams
Whatever comes our way, we will see it through
Today I give you my hand to hold, and life to keep always
