I understand that he got down on one knee and did the romantic engagement the first time around… and they deemed the second engagement as not necessary for the lovey stuff.

I am not all candy hearts, flowers and chocolates when it comes to being romantic – but I think that there should be a certain level of effort put into an engagement. More than a text, and more than mailing the ring.
