Fabulous Twitter Find :: Shell Artistree

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

Michelle “Shell” Rummel is constantly adding new contemporary designs to her collection of modern artwork. Her company, Shell Artistree, is women-owned and full of creativity!  She started with a passion for painting and had great success through her gallery shows.   She considers herself lucky to be able to specialize in a Judaic art niche market where she can create Ketubot (Jewish wedding certificates) for Jewish, Interfaith, Gay/Lesbian, non-denominational and multicultural clients. She is seeing an exciting trend in the industry, that this traditional ritual is being accepted in a new way by couples of all faiths and backgrounds! The designs you will find in her store are unlike any other!

I love to hear about companies that leave their green print.  Their partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, allows them to plant a tree with every Ketubah and invitation order they receive through their studio.  Not only are they designing unique paper creations, but they are replenishing the earth!

Her  newest line is one of my favorites! Check out their collection of beautiful jewelry that is perfect for brides, mothers and bridesmaids too! These are all uniquely designed and customized to you and your wedding.

Fabulous Twitter Find :: Sunflower Favors

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

Brides spend hours planning and brainstorming ideas to give their guest as a favor or thank you for celebrating their special day with them.  You look for a favor that represents you as a couple, but you also want one that will go along with the theme of your wedding.  You may want a monogram or initial on it, or you might insist that it is practical and your guests will actually use it.  Their are price constraints and color choices, but in the end every bride usually finds a favor that makes all the cuts and ends up to be the perfect representation of you and a memory of your wedding celebration!  Everyone has different likes and dislikes which is one of the reasons Sunflower Favors has such a large variety of wedding favors—you can’t not find something in her selection that catches your eye!

I picked out a few of my favorite favors on her list, the first one being the “Olive You” – Tuscan Oil Bottle, perfect for an Italian countryside wedding.  If possible, fill it with a local oil that is famous in your region, or one that you and your fiance have tried together.

I am picturing this Diamond Ring Paperweight shown below as the perfect bridal shower favor.  I think this is such a fun gift for your bridesmaids.

I think this candle would be fun if you hosted a martini-themed bridal shower or wedding.  Create a signature martini or host a martini bar for your guests and pass stuffed olives for appetizers.

Julianne Smith is truly embracing the garter tradition…with style!

I have always insisted that there are some truly unique companies out there and I plan on discovering as many as possible!  I was lucky enough to learn of Julianne Smith, personalized garters for carrying on a long practiced tradition with your own personal touch!  No need to spend time shopping for your perfect garter…simply pick your colors, fabric, style and whether or not you want something special embroidered on it.  Incorporate blue into the garter and you can use this as your ’something blue’ on your wedding day.

This is one of my favorites!  I love the champagne shade and lace combination that they used.

This final garter is not for every bride, but it is a great example of how creative you can get with the options!  If your fiance is a big sports fan of a certain team, I think this would be a fun idea to surprise him with.  During the garter toss at your wedding the last thing he expects to find is a fun garter like this hiding under your dress. :)

Fabulous Twitter Find :: Cherished Gifts & Favors

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

While on Twitter, I have not only found fabulous entrepreneurs across the world specializing in a variety of wedding art, but I have made some great friends along the way!  Ashley Moran is a true gem I have come across on Twitter with an amazing pick of gifts and favors for every occasion at Cherished Gifts & Favors! My girly side starts to come out as I glance through one of her most popular lines for purse and shoe themed events!

Envision style and sophistication married with a perfect fit! A trio of tiny, rhinestones adorn the top of this sexy, silver-chrome, stiletto shoe, so stunning that bottles almost line up to be opened. Who would have guessed this sassy shoe would double as a bottle opener!

Your bridesmaids will love having this patent leather manicure set to keep their nails looking fabulous for the big day.

Talk about favors that are sure to make your girls grin! Half funky, half fancy, these purse bottle stoppers party favors are very useful and just plain retro-fabulous. Each set contains four different hand painted purse designs and each purse arrives in a box that’s almost as cute as the stopper itself (and that’s saying a lot!)

A fun idea for a shower would be to get each guest a bottle of wine that is special to you and your fiance, let them take it home with one of these cute purse stoppers!

These stylish luggage tags could be used as place cards for your bridal shower or bachelorette party, and then let everyone take them  home as a small thank you gift!  I can already imagine when the wedding comes around you will see the tags again at the wedding on everyone’s luggage!

What woman hasn’t struggled with the problem of where to park her purse at restaurants, meetings and other occasions? Sling it over the back of the chair? Too vulnerable. Keep it in your lap? Too awkward. Place it on the floor? Ewwww.

Imagine how thrilled the guests at your bridal shower will be when they find you’ve chosen the Purse Valet Stainless-Steel Handbag Holder for their favors! They’ll probably open it right there and use the practical Purse Valet while they enjoy a fun-filled, worry-free celebration!

I have highlighted on a few of the many fun and affordable favors you can find at this site! Whether is is an Asian, Beach, or Coffee theme you will find gifts and favors to fit your event!!

After you check out Ashley’s site let me know which favors caught your eye!

Fabulous Twitter Finds :: Tickle Me Designs

Saturday, March 21st, 2009

As you follow people and gain followers on Twitter, do you ever truly stop to look at their bios and the variety of companies that are important to them?  I recently began going through my followers one at a time and am finding fascinating companies with unique ideas to incorporate into weddings!

My first fabulous find is Amy Leung, creative artist of Tickle me Designs.

Tickle Me Designs allows you to create unique, handmade stationary that is personalized to you and your groom!  It is focused on brides who want something a bit different than the ordinary and value customizing the details!

I quickly designed this picture on their website, which I thought it would be perfect for a destination wedding.  I put myself with long hair and a more casual dress for my dream destination wedding!  Just to show the contrast I had the groom in more formal attire. You have so many varieties to choose from, play around with the options and create something that represents you and your fiance.  Instead of an island in the background I could have chosen cakes, boats, churches, mountains, flowers, even the Eiffel Tower!  If you have an original idea outside of what is offered, I wouldn’t doubt Amy can make it happen for you!
