I saw this post about 12 Too many on Swanky Tables and could not stop thinking about how great of an idea it is!  It is a new blog being launched by Totally Tabletops and a great way for brides and hostesses to get rid of all of their extra vases, plates, glasses or anything they have that is taking up too much space in their storage.

It works like Craigslist in that you are able to search your specific city and buy, sell or trade party decor.  The site is still starting up and improving every day, so I encourage you after your wedding when you are left with 12 tall centerpiece vases or 200 charger plates, to look into selling them to another bride who is in need!

This site would have come in handy after my wedding!  I had 50 Too Many of everything and ended up passing it along to my friends as they had their weddings. . . but this avenue would have been much quicker and easier!  I am looking forward to following this blog and seeing all of the interesting party pieces being sold!

What is more fun than Cake and Children?!  On February 17th, we will all find out!  The Plaza Paramount Hotel will be hosting Let’s Eat Cake…a cake decorating competition with all the proceeds going to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital!

… I wonder if you get to eat the cake when it is done being decorated?… all the more reason to show up and find out!!
